As of June 8, patients experiencing ANY of the following symptoms will be requested to wear a mask into the clinic for check in and may require COVID 19 testing prior to their visit. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow time for testing.
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
Patients testing positive for COVID 19 will require virtual evaluation. Others, including staff, will not be required to wears masks but may do so if desired. Our staff will gladly wear a mask at patient’s request. Please notify us at the time of check in if you would like your healthcare team members to wear a mask for your visit. If you choose to remain outside the clinic until your appointment time, please FIRST check in with the front desk staff and provide a valid phone number where you can be reached when it is time for your visit. Please also keep your mobile number on and able to receive calls to avoid delays. Our staff will call you when we are ready for your visit. As always, SMFM will do our very best to maintain patient safety while providing high quality care for our patients and appreciate our patients assisting us in doing so.
San Marcos Family Medicine is not currently offering COVID 19 vaccinations or booster vaccinations. Patients are advised to contact their pharmacy for vaccine availability. Please refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for further information. You may access their website
