Biography

“Let food be thy medicine” is the mantra of Dr. Vip Mangalick, one of the San Marcos, Texas doctors at San Marcos Family Medicine. He has a passion for helping patients in Central Texas find a way to support their health goals with as little medication as possible. His passion fuels a belief in prevention as the key to long-term health and wellness, and he works to help patients take the necessary measures to avoid illness instead of treating illness after it starts, whenever possible.

Dr. Mangalick got his undergraduate degree at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduation, he went to St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. He attended Family Medicine Residency at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program, achieving board certification in Family Practice. He’s a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is part of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. He’s also a staff physician at CTMC.
